Download PDFUpon partnering with Edustaff in 2014, Jackson College and their adjunct instructors paid into the State of Michigan’s retirement system which had a 10-year vesting requirement which made it very unlikely adjuncts would qualify for a pension from the system. By moving their adjuncts to Edustaff the college was able to save money and provide an increase in compensation.
The transition to partner with Edustaff had a very short timeline. The staff at Edustaff were key in making the transition as smooth as possible. They were always available to answer questions and support our adjuncts.
Edustaff’s payroll process is seamless and transparent. Jackson submits an excel document and Edustaff issues an invoice bi-weekly for approval. The college is able to make changes, adjustments and additions with no extra costs. The onboarding process is also very efficient. Jackson submits new employees for hire on a submission portal and the Edustaff Account Manager makes contact within 24 hours on next steps.
